Lesson 3 Transferring points

Adding unique features to a loyalty program presents an opportunity to engage more active users. Loyalty points earned by a customer are usually redeemed for products, discounts or rewards. However, with the point transfer feature, they can also be sent to other users’ accounts.

In the Synerise ecosystem, users can easily transfer points between each other, which promotes user interaction and builds an engaged customer community.

Business goals

  • Strengthen community and family relationships: The transfer of loyalty points between users fosters an engaged community. This encourages loyalty program participants to share benefits and motivate each other to be active together. Program participants can also be a family group or a group of friends, which further motivates interaction.

  • Increasing program appeal: Unusual features like points transfer make the loyalty program more appealing to users, which can attract new customers and maintain the loyalty of existing ones.

  • Boost user activity: The ability to transfer points acts as an additional stimulus for user activity to share their earned benefits with others.

  • Analysis of behavior: The transfer of points between users generates data on customers’ interactions and preferences. This enables a better understanding of their behavior and adaptation of the marketing strategy to it.
